“Stay motivated,” she tells viewers.

“Keep grinding.”

Her advice reflects how she approaches every part of her work. Pearson runs her Los Angeles-based businesses, Marketing 4 Real Results and Love 4 Essentials, with remarkable energy. She is also a real estate agent with Legacy Real Estate in Yorba Linda, California, a public speaker and an active member of her community.

“The hustle never stops,” she says in her social media content, and she means it.

Where the Drive Began

Pearson is quick to acknowledge that her level of drive is not typical. She credits her family with modeling entrepreneurship from an early age.

Her father owned a fuel and oil business, and her mother ran a daycare center.

“I always knew I was going to be an entrepreneur,” she said. “I told myself that when I was young.”

Pearson knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur from an early age.

It was just a matter of finding the right path.

Building Expertise

Pearson began to see marketing as a potential path after reading Richard Nelson Bolles’ best-selling career guide, What Color Is Your Parachute?, more than 20 years ago.

“I recommend that book to every single audience I speak to,” she said. “It allows you to align your career with your personality.”

She pursued a marketing role, quickly realized she had a talent for it, and began building a foundation for long-term success. In addition to formal education (she holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s of business administration in international business), she sought out opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in the field.

Pearson went on to work in the marketing departments of several well-known corporations, excelling in each role. For her, the experience confirmed she was in the right field.

“I was working there to understand everything I could,” she said. “I was always respectful to clients and paid attention to the space they were operating from.”

Launching a Strategy-First Marketing Firm

In 2015, Pearson took the leap from marketing professional to entrepreneur, launching her full-service firm, Marketing 4 Real Results. The company partners with small businesses generating between $500,000 and $5 million in revenue, providing long-term strategic marketing support, particularly in the real estate, restoration and retail sectors.

Its services include marketing consulting and planning, branding, email and social media marketing, digital strategy and content development.

“Short term, I give you a road map,” Pearson said. “It’s based on small victories, a step-by-step approach, rather than immediate transformation, which can be overwhelming for business owners. Kicking out your old system is not always the best choice.”

In addition to building a strong foundation, she encourages clients to stay open to new approaches. In today’s landscape, that may include AI optimization, adapting content and SEO strategies so businesses can be discovered and accurately represented by AI language models, as well as incorporating personal video into social media to help potential clients make a more direct connection.

“People who are willing to map out and try new things have an advantage,” she said.

Pearson follows that philosophy herself. Rather than relying on past success, she continues to invest in learning and growth.

“I travel all over the world to learn more about marketing.”

Clients value not only her understanding of industry shifts, but also her perspective as a fellow business owner.

“Being an entrepreneur is the hardest job,” Pearson said. “You’re fishing for your freedom.

“Clients know that aside from them, I’m the No. 1 person who cares about their company. I know what wins mean. I try to give them a win.”

Seeing Business From the Client Side

Pearson’s perspective is shaped not only by her work in marketing, but also by her experience as a licensed California real estate agent specializing in luxury properties.

Pearson has also built a successful career in real estate.

Working outside her core business gives her a deeper understanding of the challenges and priorities her clients face.

“I see it as an outside-the-box approach to positioning my marketing company for success,” she said.

A Venture Rooted in Health and Community

Pearson’s entrepreneurial drive extends beyond marketing. She is also the founder of Love 4 Essentials, an online retailer specializing in workout clothing.

“As a person of color, I noticed many in my community affected by diabetes and other health challenges,” she said.

Promoting fitness became a way to make a meaningful impact.

“Not only that, but we are most happy when we’re fit. It prepares us for the toughness of life.”

Pearson speaks from experience. A former track athlete in high school in Philadelphia, she understands both the physical and mental benefits of staying active. Inspiring others to experience those benefits is her passion project, she said.

Extending Success Beyond Business

That same drive extends beyond her businesses. Pearson serves as a board member of the Baron Jay Foundation, which provides education and workforce development programs for underserved youth and communities.

Pearson's love for what she does drives her energy.

During a recent initiative, she partnered with the foundation to introduce students to entrepreneurship, marketing principles, AI and STEM integration, fitness, and real estate fundamentals to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world career readiness.

“Being great means something different for everyone,” Pearson said. “My goal is to replace fear with opportunity by exposing students to careers they may not have considered and encouraging them to dream big with purpose.”

Pearson understands what it takes to turn ambition into action. That sense of purpose, and the fulfillment that comes with it, continues to drive her forward.

“I’m successful because I know I’m good at what I do and because I love it.”
